‘OXYGEN’
“With every breath we take, how does what we breathe in drive us forward?”
This July 2012, B-Floor will present the Bangkok premiere of ‘OXYGEN,’ a production invited to perform at the ‘Undergroundzero’ theatre festival in NYC.
‘OXYGEN’ is the final part to a trilogy exploring Thailand’s tumultuous political situation, beginning with “Flu-O-Less-Sense” (2010) and followed by “Fool Alright” last year. Nicknamed “Flu-Fool,” these first two parts of the trilogy were ranked in the top 5 theatre productions of 2011 by the Bangkok Post, and hailed for being “energetic and emotional” by The Nation.
Oxygen is an element vital for keeping us alive. In this performance, Teerawat compares oxygen to the liberty and freedom that allows us to live under a democratic government. What kind of air are we breathing in? And with every breath we take, how does what we breathe in drive us forward?
See the Bangkok premiere of ‘OXYGEN,’ from 5-16 July, 2012 (no shows on Tues. and Wed.) before the production heads to New York City!
