Surat Kaewseekram graduated with a B.A from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang from the Faculty of Agricultural Technology. His first time working with B-Floor was as part of the stage crew for “Survival Games” (2013). He went on to work as an administrative assistant for B-Floor and stage crew for “(In)Sensitivity” (2013) before becoming an official member in 2013. Since then he has gone on to work as a stage manager, performer and director with the company.
Surat has stage managed numerous B-Floor productions, including “Secret Keeper” (2015), “Fundamental” (2016) and “Blissfully Blind” (2017) which were highly awarded. “Secret Keeper” won Best Art Direction and “Fundamental” received the Best Movement Based Performance Award and Best Ensemble Performance Award by the Thai Section of the International Association of Theatre Critics (IATC – Thailand). The Bangkok Theatre Festival also awarded “Blissfully Blind” with Best Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Movement-Based Performance and Best Ensemble Performance.
As an actor, he has performed with B-Floor in Thailand, Japan and Indonesia. His notable performances include “Manoland” (2015), “Fishy Clouds” (2016), “San Dan Ka” (2018), and “The Un(Governed) Body” (2019). His directorial debut “Coherence” (2019) was part of a double-bill called “What's Left: Resonance from the Discarded” with Kwin Bhichitkul.
Surat is trained in Viewpoints and Laban Effort Qualities. Outside of his work with B-Floor he has worked as a prop master and stage manager for other Thai theatre companies. He has also toured to many schools and pop up events throughout Thailand as a performer and facilitator for youth education theatre programs and is a teaching assistant for physical theatre classes at Darunsikkalai School.
